Caring For Your shoes

Get the most from your shoes

Unwrapping a new pair of shoes is exciting, however it is still important to think about how to care for them so that they last as long as they possibly can. It is inevitable that shoes will wear over time and gather some marks along the way, but here are a few ways you can care for your new shoes and get the most out of them.

Leather

We recommend using a good quality sealant to protect the leather. Long term use will help the longevity of your shoes. We recommend using a good quality leather sealant, it is the perfect product for keeping your leather goods nourished, protected and sealed. Please ensure you read the instructions on the product before using.

Suede/Nubuck

We recommend using a good quality spray sealant to protect your suede or nubuck shoes. Long term use will help the longevity of your shoes. To clean off any marks be sure to use a nubuck/suede brush, circling in the same direction. To give your shoes a new lease of life, use a revitalising spray. Be sure to read the instructions on the product before using.

Patent Leather

Patent leather generally doesn't need to be sealed, however it will require conditioning to prevent it from cracking or drying out over time. We recommend using a good quality patent leather conditioner. Be sure to read the instructions on the product before using.

Pony Hair/Hide

It is inevitable that hide will rub and wear just like it would hair on an animal, however protecting it with a good quality spray sealant will give it the best chance of longevity. If there happens to be dirt on the hide, wait until it is dry and then gently brush it away.
